Audio for 100K: Barack Obama Rally – Gateway Arch, Saint Louis MO

Audio provided by Logic Systems Sound and Lighting, Saint Louis, MO. We used a combination of NEXO Geo-T and Electro-Voice X-Array to fill the field, about 660 feet over the top of the hill.
It was reported that Mr. Obama’s voice was articulate well over the top of the hill, across Memorial Drive. From a Wall Street Journal blog post describing the event, a quote:

Ultra Music Festival 2008

Here we have a shot of (16x) BASSMAXX X3C “Trips”, creating a line of sub-bass almost 20 meters wide at the main stage. Unfortunately we did not have a delay tap available, and so the alignment job became tricky. We were able to use subwoofer stacks located outside this line to fill in the areas not serviced by the highly directional line of Trips. This subwoofer array provided devastating sub-bass performance.
The audio vendor for the main stage was Beach Sound, Miami FL. You can visit Beach Sound
